I am trying to install some XP drivers for a Sony notebook but since the notebook came originally with Vista, I need to dl drivers from a model with XP drivers. When I try to install the EXE file the program verifies if the model is the correct model. Since I am using a driver from another model, it won't allow me t o install it. Does any one know if I can change properties of the exe so I can install it?

i've found most of the drivers but there's a few that i am still having problems finding.

Sony only supports Vista for this computer and does not provide XP drivers for it. I hear that Dell provides both regardless of what was originally on it.

I need the following according to Driver Detective:

Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus

    and

    SM Bus Controller

I also need a driver so the "fn" key for the keyboard operates as well as the scroll for the touch pad.

The model of the notebook is vgn-n365e.

    Thanks for any help!

that sucks, i wonder if you could use the vista driver in xp...:dunno:

it's going to piss me off when they stop making winxp drivers and force you to use vista
