it all starts with some horrible photoshopping of the grass and trees...then you give the sky a fake looking blue to go along with the oversharpened truck.

oh, and remove a little green from the grass and you'll have a keeper.

Don't forget to blow out any highlights that even remotely approached clipping.

IMO no picture is perfect, but it's fun pointing out every little thing wrong :o

I just don't like the blown out highlights. For some reason that really bothers me in images....

Maybe because I print 99% of my stuff, and paper white looks really bad in print... :dunno:

But once I saw that and started looked closer, it became hilarious. Especially the patterned grass...

i actually do too...the rusted look with the DOF and the clouds give it a great look but there are a lot of bad PP techniques done to it too. the grass, selective bluring and trees are the things that stand out the most to me. i don't care about the shadows and mildly care about the highlights though.

I should have stated that differently...

I didn't care about the shadows in that photo because the details were probably minimal anyways. The highlights weren't so bad that they took away from the photo either. I think about the above things, I just didn't think they added/took away from the photo.

I think the truck is wet from a rainstorm hence the specular lighting on the hood.

No, you worded it right, I understand exactly what you're saying.

I just disagree with you, strongly.

There is NO technical competence in this image. There is not one piece of the post processing that was done correctly.

I can't believe OT is sackriding this piece of shit.
