I'm not really sure at this point, I've gone back and forth between different settings so much :( I think I'm using the one for the printer

download ICC profile for the paper/paper combo you are using

select that in LR under color management - profile

on the printer driver, like you have it, no color management

use a real printing paper (bright whtie is not for printing photos)

LR is prophoto, but it doesn't matter really. its making sure the proper ICC profile is used thats key

I have some photo paper that I tried too, but it still looked like ass, and I didn't want to waste more photo paper ($$$) trying to get it anywhere close to right

that is for using an epson 4800 with ilford galleries smooth pearl roll, then use a semigloss paper base in the print driver

I have some semigloss photo paper, but I was trying to troubleshoot it with cheapo normal paper :o

tried those settings and it's still coming out pretty dark/underexposed looking :sad2: even with the photopaper and it set to that paper

its not the right icc profile unless theres more to it than is showing on the screen shot. click the box next to it to bring up the available profiles
