but they look fine if I use firefox
I've been fighting with that all night and wasted a shitton of ink, it's no better or worse then when I started
I wouldn't be so frustrating if they didn't come out fine from the windows image viewer and firefox
What space are you printing with?
I'm not really sure at this point, I've gone back and forth between different settings so much I think I'm using the one for the printer
OK, now what color profile is the picture ie sRGB, CMYK, etc etc
it should be sRGB, but I'll double check
download ICC profile for the paper/paper combo you are using
select that in LR under color management - profile
on the printer driver, like you have it, no color management
use a real printing paper (bright whtie is not for printing photos)
LR is prophoto, but it doesn't matter really. its making sure the proper ICC profile is used thats key
minus whale do all your processing in sRGB from the beginning
I have some photo paper that I tried too, but it still looked like ass, and I didn't want to waste more photo paper ($$$) trying to get it anywhere close to right
not exactly possible in LR
that is for using an epson 4800 with ilford galleries smooth pearl roll, then use a semigloss paper base in the print driver
giving that a shot
after this I'm gonna call it a night, it's almost 1am and I'm tired and frustrated
well the first step is getting the correct icc profile for the acutal paper you are going to use
I have some semigloss photo paper, but I was trying to troubleshoot it with cheapo normal paper
tried those settings and it's still coming out pretty dark/underexposed looking even with the photopaper and it set to that paper
so the icc profile you used was r220 or whatever PSPP?
yes, the same one as the screen shot I posted earlier, is that the right one? that's the only one in the menu
and I printed on the semigloss paper I have and set it to that also
and the microweave too
its not the right icc profile unless theres more to it than is showing on the screen shot. click the box next to it to bring up the available profiles
that is the only available profile
click other and what do you have?
might have to download them if they aren't there, but they should be
wait I found what you were talking about
this would be a lot easier if I wasn't half asleep
thanks for the help, pictures are printing good now
