I already have IE7 installed on my work computer, but I need to check my web page compatibility on IE6. How can I do that? Does dreamweaver have a function for that?

put a message up on your site telling all IE6 users to upgrade to Firefox or IE7 :dunno:

I have a "Site Optimized for Firefox 1.5+ and IE 7" at the bottom of my page. If someone emails me with a problem and they're using IE 6, I usually say I'll look into it, but they should upgrade browsers.

Right now only half the IE users are using 6... so that's about 1/5 of my site :dunno:

The number is dropping dramatically each month :x:

Yah, excellent idea. Telling your customers its their fault why your site isnt working properly. As a webmaster its your job to make your site work on all major platforms.

Most schools, libraries, and workplaces still run IE6, and individual users have no way of upgrading it unless their IT department does it.

Out of that 70% that use IE, about 75% still use IE6.

Here are actual stats, from 1 of my sites, which is browsed by the normal public instead of W3schools.com which is obviously gonna be accessed by tech saavy people (IT, nerds, etc).

Do us a favor buddy and click on the Internet Explorer link to see the breakdown of IE6 and IE7.

Just because almost 70% use IE, it doesn't mean they all use IE6

I would hardly use your website as a general statistic on users using IE6. And that's not just IE6, I assume a rather large percentage of that is IE7.
