right now i'm stuck with setting up windows file sharing and it takes forever to transfer things.

also, my ntfs external hard drive will not show up under parallels, i have the usb drivers installed, it shows up under osx???

what version of parallels, you should just be able to drag and drop between them if your parallels is up to date.

    :)

build 1970, it won't let me drag and drop. i did enable a shared folder on parallels (helps when you actually read the readme), so now it just transfers on the hard drive and doesn't use the network, much faster

i enabled auto connect on usb, however when i hit the usb icon, i select usb to ide for my hard drive, it tells me that the device is used in another process and to wait 5-10 seconds and then try again.
if not, manually disconnect the device and try again

i dragged the hard drive icon into the trash, but that didnt help

go to the parallels website and download the latest version (3120) - you'll be able to drag and drop between osx and xp
