I'm using a tasco 3-9x40 and I really want to get a Mueller APV 4.5-14x40 for my 10/22. How big of a difference is there between 9x and 14x? Any graphics to show the difference? Thanks. :hs:

    I love these threads

If you can't hit your target at 100 yards with 9x, a 14x scope isn't going to help. You need to work on your trigger pull and breathing.

    9x is plenty for a 10/22

I only shoot at 50 yards, but I use really small paper targets and sometimes it's hard to tell where it hits. :o Plus it'll probably end up on an AR.

9x will be fine for 50 yards. I can see a .30 hole in paper with a 9x at 100 yards, I think you could spot the holes.

Save the money on the scope and buy a $100 spotting scope and you'll see the wholes just fine.

I know some pros that shoot 40x at 100 yards.

if you want a 14x get a 14x . There will be a large difference
