i've never had to dump the weight before. I was going for a 6th rep of 405 on squats. On the 6th rep, i got stuck at parallel, my right quad/hip shook for a second and i had to dump the bar..

Right now my right hip is extremely tight.. I cant bring my heel towards my ass or cross my legs(man style) when sitting down. Its like my leg just wont bend past a certain point.

I've never experienced this, so may just be worried about nothing, but figured u brollies probably had this before.. any advice..

    tight here

my guess, and i'm no doctor, is that if you can walk then you're ok.

may have a microtear in your quad, can you roll it out with a foam roller?

You should be icing right now. If you can massage the area, do that. Keep an eye on it... it there is swelling or bruising it could be worse then you think it is. Not being able to move your leg a certain way isn't good... even if you can still walk

I'm icing it now.. took some anti-inflammatories.. I just looked at it again and there isnt any swelling or bruising. I sit at a desk all day so I'm trying to get up and gently stretch it. I may try foamroller tonight, but i will probably cry and shit mypants when i do.

Thanks for the serious response mang.

just to know how did you dump? I've dumped plenty of times and have not had this problem. But on topic, the usual ice, rest, elivate and when/if mobility returns stretch and roll the area out with a foam roller. If you have access to a steam room try stretching in there first. If you were in the rack I would recommend not using the "dump bars" the usually cause more problems then they are worth. Let the weight roll back and move forward so you wont get pinned.

When my right leg gave out my head moved forward so I pretty much had to dump it forward. Luckely i didnt sandwich myself. :o Hopefully i wont have to dump the weight again, now I have a feel for when my body cant do another rep. I really should have known better then try for that 6th.
