do they have eye relief like an aimpoint or eotech or do you have to put them up like a regular scope. i've never sighted with a trijicon or like sight before. can they be easily co-witnessed or do you even really need it with the sight on the top?

Got one for my AR and i like it.
I dont co-witness so i cant comment there. Not sure if they could be compared to an eotech or aimpoint but hey, it does the job well and for the price, its nice.

heres a link to a review..

I read a carbine class AAR where this optic fell off the rifle.

It looks like it'd be a decent enough optic for a fun gun based on the linked review. If this optic was intended for one's only, or primary rifle, then it might be smarter to save for an older, used Aimpoint.

I wasnt ready for big time optics yet, but if i had another chance, i would have considered the vortex strikefire

this is part of the reason that i dislike it. also the screws for the base seem to come loose too easily.

This happens to all kinds of optics due to user error.

You mean you can't tighten them by hand?
