How accurate is a generic BMR calculator?

    Just ran mine, and my BMR is 1700 cal/day (5'8", 160lbs). I want to drop another 10 lbs or so... That means to cut a lb a week, I'm looking at 1200 cal/day. That's like... a coke and a subway sandwich. For two and a half fucking months.

    Fuck.
