Okay, I'm planning on making a website about Thrash Metal and I was wondering if this web host, http://www.1t3.com/plans.html , would be good for what I want. Here are the features on that plan:

    - Domain Registration or Domain Transfer
    - Linux or Windows Server (I'm choosing the linux plan so that will be what details I share)
    - 1000 MB space
    - No Banner/Advertisement
    - Unmetered Bandwitdth
    - Unlimited Subdomains
    - Unlimited POP3 email Accounts
    - Unlimited Email Catchall
    - Unlimited FTP Access
    - Unlimited Autoresponders
    - Online File Manager
    - Mailing List File Manager
    - Apache Tomcat
    - 128 bit SSL server
    - CGI bin access
    - ASP
    - SSI
    - Unlimited MySQL databases
    - PHP Support
    - Password Protection
    - Website Stats
    - Error Log Manager
    - 2 shopping carts (Agora & Interchange)
    - Search Engine Submission
    - 2 Chat room software
    - hotlink protection
    - MIME types
    - PERL Support
    - WAP Support
    - 2 Web-based email (Neo & Horde)
    - Frontpage Support
    - Frontpage SSL
    - Cron jobs
    - database anager
    - 50 Adobe templates
    - 24/7 Live Support
    - Control Panel (Cpanel)
    - free instant setup

And here is what I want to do. I want to put up a message board where people can post what they want about Thrash Metal, music in general, or something else. I also want to be able to host some subdomains for up-and-coming bands. And I want to have a list of Thrash metal bands with info about each band and their discography. I also want to provide an email address for a select few. The problem is, I don't know if 1000 MB will be enough space, since I don't know how much space the message board will take (I'm planning on using phpBB) and I don't know how much email space will take. Basically, does this host work do you think or will I need another one. And if I need another one any suggestions? I don't make a lot of money so cost is definitly an issue. The host I presented in this post is only $50 a year, which comes to about $4.17 a month. So any help would be much appreciated.

CPanel is crap. Try to avoid it. Unlimited bandwidth is a bad sign.

It looks like they have a reseller account with "fasthosts.net.uk" which is in Gloucester, England. You'd be a fool to use a UK host if you and your visitors are in the US.

Overall, this seems like a very bad deal, where they will have horrible latency, and you will be on an over-sold server. Pass.

i need enough space to have a message board, enough space to have at least 10 email accounts, at least 10 email accounts, PHP support, MySQL support, I would like it to have at least 2 subdomains with enough space to host some sites. Also, I need multiple FTP accounts, unlimited FTP, cheap (if not free) domain registration...that's all I can think of at the moment

I don't know how much space I need because I don't know how much space email, subdomains, message board, and the main site will take up. I'd say 1 GB or more.

As for bandwidth, at least 2 GB.

so you're hosting a very unpopular site? 2gb is nothing for bandwidth. Shouldn't cost more than $3 a month for what you want.
