    Between those 2.5 CA ARs, you're really close to having a real one! :mamoru:

    Nice rifles.

    Nice rifles though. Going to do something besides another 16" build next time?

    they're going to be 2 carbines (obviously) - i want them to be as close as possible.

    the one with the ACOG is actually a socom profile barrel (heavier) and i've gotten fucking awesome groups with it.

    the BCM is going to have the same rail, sling and VFG as the CMMG, but with an aimpoint micro t1

    I think I need to build an AR. The .22 just isn't doing it for me anymore. How does one go about obtaining a lower?

    Find a store that has one for a reasonable price and buy it like any other gun.

    Or order one online an have it shipped to a local FFL.

    If I can't find one locally, how do I go through an FFL? What is a FFL? Can I just order one through a local gun store... or?

    FFL = Federal Firearms License

    Any gun store will have one.

    Basically you call, order/pay for what you want, then have them ship it to your local gun store. Local gun store calls you when it comes in, you go fill out 4473, pay transfer fee (varies by store, usually $20ish), and leave with lower.

    Oh not bad. Is this something I would have to work out with said store before hand? I'm guessing so.

    Well yeah, I would go there and talk to them about it (or at least call). Generally it's not a big deal but some shops are picky about what they transfer (i.e. only stuff they don't sell themselves) or charge way more than they should for a transfer.
