I just got back, and it was fantastic. It didn't follow the story of the original, but it was completely faithful to the spirit of the film (and the old werewolve legends).

Every shot in the whole film is a work of art, the music is excellent, and it looks and feels just like a werewolve movie should look and feel. It's dark, fog on the moors, and just all-around really good movie. It actually felt like I was watching one of the old classic monster movies from the 30s.

I don't know what the clowns on rottentomatoes were watching, but it can't have been the same movie I just saw.

    8/10

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the acting. Superb. But, then again, what would you expect from Benicio Del Toro, Hugo Weaving, and Anthony MFing Hopkins?

agreed - got 30% on RT though. I've NEVER seen a good movie that rated that low. Pretty much impossible.

I loved the "American Werewolf in London" homage.

I enjoyed it. It seemed like it didn't take itself too seriously (like the over the top gore) and it worked well for it. Great cast, the acting was meh but didn't detract from the movie at all. Perfect length. 4 thumbs out of 5.
