If I hook up my MBP to say a 46" Sony Bravia LCD, and watched some movie from front row, how well would they look @ 1080p? I'm wondering if it upconverts better than the xbox360... anyone try this out?

I've used my 17" C2D MBP as a DVD player via VGA connection to my 67" Samsung a number of times. Quality isn't as good as my 360 over VGA connection, mostly because there's a horizontal scanline that moves through the picture every 30 seconds or so. Not sure why. But it's irritating.

Definitely no better than the 360 though.
