i've been using hook grip for my high pulls. I noticed that my thumbs (and middle fingers) are purple after I do my heaviest sets. They are kinda sore and numb too. The day after my thumbs are brown where the purple was. Is this normal?

I looked at this more. People say the bruising will actually stop once your thumb becomes stronger.
