So my GF ran her Honda Civic into a van and clipped her passenger's side mirror. Just the housing got cracked and ripped off it's base.

My question is what does it take to replace the housing?
Does the part come plain and then it has to be painted?

Or should I focus on finding a used mirror housing in the same color as her car?

Used, much cheaper though paint may not match perfectly. I've bought used mirrors before for around $10-$20.

Do you know of any online parts dealers? I guess I could try ebay as well.

Did that as a temp solution till we can find a replacement.
But not all ghetto. I tried to keep it to a minimum and nicely laid down.
    As well as JB Weld.

Not off hand, several local salvage yards around me are online, try looking up some near you.
