Lately, everytime i turn on receiver to watch TV or a DVD, my subwoofer makes a loud quick whistle roughly 30sec after the power has been turned on. The whistle is short, no longer than half a second, it sounds like a bird is in the room and made a quick single chirp.

Anyone know what this could be, my setup hasn't changed or moved in 2 years and it's been fine until just this month or so.

it's the amp's capacitors discharging....usually means one of your capacitors will be going bad soon. Don't sweat it for now until it goes bad. no biggie
