    Hey Everyone,

I will admit that I know little to nothing about projectors and or home theater systems in general. I am looking to put a projector in my basement area and need some helping picking the correct projector for me.

The main use of this projector will be DVD's, however, I do plan on watching HDTV with it as well. I think the only shows I will be watching via HDTV will be HBO and or SHOTIME shows that come on Sundays (HDTV signal). I may watch regular TV every now and then on it, however that will not be the main thing it is used for. I do have a limited budget and would like to try to get the complete system done for under $2,500 including the projector, mount, screen, cabinet for equipment, and installation.

I was reading reviews on the InFocus 4805, but I a lot of people are saying that it does not do too well for HDTV. Is this true?

Please give me your opinions and thanks in advance.

    $1500 - Projector
    $100 - Mount
    $300 - Screen
    $100 - Cabinet

    $1000 - Install + Calibration ($500/$500)

You can get a cheaper Mount/Screen/Cabinet but I wouldn't unless you are planning on some DIY projects.

I would recommend a projector that uses DLP technology.
