Hi everyone I have one video and one audio question...
I want to surf in my basement and run my TV and stereo as a second monitor/sound system.

I have an Acer laptop with HDMI out (aspire 5920) but my TV only has component (Its HD but just before HDMI came out)
If I use a HDMI to DVI then DVI to 3-RCA Plugs (Red/Green/Blue) to my TV is that possible and still digital??

The 2 cables are listed below...

Audio... I have a SPDIF out for 7.1 Audio on the laptop
Would this cable work to go from it to the digital input on my receiver?

    Input appreciated!

component video is not digital. So there is no way it could still go into the TV as a digital source, unless your TV has DVI or HDMI, it's not gonna happen.
