I was sitting in my office around dusk and some really eerie light was pouring in through the windows... I step outside the door and the entire neighborhood is bathed in the most golden light I've seen in a while. It appeared as if there was a solar eclipse going on. I turned around and there was this amazing pink cloud about our house's roof.

By the time I grabbed my tripod and set up to take a shot, the light was pretty much gone.

This is a combination of two exposures that I blended together in photoshop as if I had used a graduated filter... tried to make an HDR, but they never turn out for me.

anyways... post a photo of your home if you care to.

Is your roof red slate? Thats cool as shit!

I really like the stone too...

    How big is your lot?

The one thing I hate about my house is my close ass neighbors. But it's not bad for my first home...

Yeah... it's slate. We love it. Most of the homes in our neighborhood have some great architectural qualities... a lot of Brick Tudors, and Stone Tudors with slate roofs.

I dont know the size of the lot, but our front year is basically what you see there... our neighbors homes are about 20-25 feet away.

Our back yard is big, but mostly a big unusable hill.

thats got of alot of the elements i look for in a architecture shot. good light, composition, but it could use some perspective correction. overall though nice shot.

It's got a nice footprint, but his has character. My house has 6 of the same house on the same street painted the same colors with the same landscaping.... it's very boring looking (to me)... I suppose i'm just being ungrateful :hs:

just sold our house, so we're looking for a new one, but won't move in till feb.

it was pretty boring and old, but the land was worth a shitload. They bought it and the next 2 along side to tear down and put up 5 new palces
