Neighbors in the 2300 block of Wetmore Avenue said an armed intruder kicked in the door and fired shots in the hallway at the home. They said the intruder pistol-whipped a tenant, but the tenant wrestled the gun away. They said the intruder was shot with his own gun. "He wound up with the gun and he shot the guy," said Rodger Jackson, a neighbor. "After he shot the intruder, the young man holding the gun said, 'He tried to kill me,'" Jackson said. He said he saw a white sport utility vehicle speed away. Police have only said that the shooting was not random and a person questioned about the shooting was not arrested. Hope no charges get filed against him.
