How does everyone decorate their homes on a budget. As a new college grad, i have empty pockets, low bank accounts, and hand-me-down furniture from the parentals... what would be some quick/easy and cost effective ways to get a pad that is worthy of showing off to friends?

werd for craigslist. Ikea.. not so much. Prices are right, but most of their furniture that i have sat on isnt overly comfortable.

what about for a really small place? the spot im looking to move into is a studio that is roughly 350 sq ft. Limited size, bedroom = living room, hall way dead ends into kitchen.

bed/living room is like 13'x14' my bed alone takes up 5'x7'. i need to start thinking more spacial friendly to organize this new spot.

I actually recently found a pretty good place for fairly inexpensive home decor like rugs, and accent tables and chairs - but you have to catch it on a good sale. Right now they're having 70-80% off on quite a few items. Some of this crap is just :ugh:

I just bought an 8x10 Wilton wool rug, originally priced at $1,000 - for $200 shipped. :eek3:

Also, some of the corner cabinets are pretty reasonable.
