I'm just wanting a system to listen to music I don't really care about hooking it up to my TV cause I never spend much time watching it, but for Speakers I want the Cerwin Vega E-715's they take 400 watts of power at 8Ohm so I'm going to need an amplifier recomended for it (what about the Crown CE2000?), for the reciever I'll prob just get a $150 dollar Sony or Pioneer. Sound good to you guys?

Sounds like a good setup to me, especially the crown amplifier. However, have you looked at the behringer EP2500? It costs $380 and puts out 450 watts per channel into 8 ohms. That receiver would work fine too.

Id stay away from using the Sony reciever in 2 channel stereo. Every Sony reciever, even the ES models, have sounded like crap in 2ch stereo.
