so when i bought my tv i naturally assumed it had an audio out, because well, the last two i had experience with had them and i assumed it was standard. so when i go and buy a reciever i quickly learn that my tv doesnt have an out, thus no watching tv with the sweet surround. so is there anyway around this??? even if it involves modifying the tv i'm in.

how are you getting your TV? Sat? Digital Cable? most sat or cable boxes have digital audio outs.

cable as of right now, and the even worse news, the reciever has no coax hook up.

you could hook up a vcr or vcr.dvd combo to use its tuner and use its audio outs, or like the other poster says, buy a new TV
