This thing looks almost identical to the Shuffle, all the way down to the advertizing.

A Taiwan-based maker of digital audio products, LuxPro, has introduced its "Super shuffle" digital music player this week at the CeBIT conference in Germany.

iPodlounge is reporting that the “Super shuffle” is nearly identical to the iPod shuffle in every way--from its form factor to its name and advertising. MacNews.de has posted photos of the device and LuxPro’s advertising at CeBIT.

The Super shuffle is the same length (3.3") and width (0.99") as the iPod shuffle. The flash memory-based Super shuffle is a little thicker (0.38") than the iPod shuffle (0.33"), but offers an FM tuner and voice recorder, which the Apple device lacks, says iPodlounge. LuxPro's music player offers MP3, WAV, and WMA support and is offered only in 512MB and 1GB sizes. It is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X. Pricing and availability were not immediately available.

What's the point of WAV support on something that only holds up to 1 gig?

Everyone wants to be like Apple.
Kind of amazing to see desktop screens from Windows users who will spit on Apple and the Mac every chance they get, yet their desktops so much like OS X including something called Y's Dock. Compaq tried to rip off the translucent look with thier desktop machines. Then there was eMachines with the iMac-clone.
So many MP3 makers are using the iPod as a standard to beat, so it's no surprise that someone would try to rip off the Shuffle but to do it like these morons did, oh yeah law suit is a coming.

Good because i need someone to create more live value for me. I love how they always spell it LUXPRO CORPORATION instead of just Luxpro Corporation. :ugh2:

I don't really see the point in a "solid state" mp3, 1GB just couldn't cut it. I know a guy that's broken a few ipod mini's from jogging with it on, guess the drive can't handle the bouncing. But jogging is kinda weak anyway.

  20. I felt bored, so I decided to mock LUXPRO and the old "Think different™" thing and I got this:

It's not a moving image since I suck at making those, but it makes a point.
