You might want to get your eyes examined. About half of them are very obviously IR. :ugh:

Yeah, there's quite a bit of post production in that series, but there also quite a large helping of raw talent.

Infra-red. Digital camera sensors are highly sensitive to IR light; if you remove the IR filter in the lens assembly and replace it with a dark smoked filter, you too can take pictures with nifty invisible light effects.

He's quite proud of his working asking 220 ~ 950 Euros for prints.

i saw some completely boring shots of commonly photographed water recently at a local art show from 4 different artist.

all of them were asking $600 or above.

It's almost depressing to see such good pictures, and knowing that you'll most likely never have the chance to photograph something as amazing as those subjects

That whole website has a lot of talented photographers. Cool site.

And yeah about his prices, beats me. I don't even begin to understand the pricing of art. I entered a 8x10 photo of mine into a local coffee shop exhibition, and when I was filling out the form it asked for a price. I didn't even realize I might potentially be selling it (never entered any sorts of exhibitions before heh).

So I asked the girl next to me how much she sold her stuff for and she said her 8x10's usually $115. I was like holy crap! I can't fathom an 8x10 I'd want to pay more than $30 for. But then again I'm not much into art. Anyway I put a $70 price on mine heh. That's "cheap" compared to the rest of the art mine will be displayed with, but meh. When I think about it, I wish I would have listed it for like $1,000 or something so people would think "HOLY CRAP THIS DUDE MUST BE SO HOT RIGHT NOW, LIKE HANSEL."

    Instead they'll think "$70? Who's this noob?" :(

oh, and for all of you DPR/FM/POTN educated noobs that think this guy just blows 5000 frames a day on a 1Ds then photoshops the fuck out of the images....

    Read this: http://www.nickbrandt.com/pdf/Professional_Photographer_Jul_06.pdf

    Cliffs:
    Pentax 67 body
    55mm, 105mm and 200mm lenses
all film work, and those DOF techniques are done IN THE CAMERA, not in the computer.

Some of you guys really don't have any idea how much there is to know about photography beyond "i has a DSLR, zomg!" :ugh:
