I shit you not! :eek3: I just bought the March issue of Muscle Mag International and Im pretty sure this article is about Deez weez. Read it. Its on Page 267. The Article is Called, "Behind the Iron: CRAZY THINGS WE DO"

Im back yet again for another edition of the wild and wacky stories you guys write or email me about, But this month Im dedicating this one to a famous internet Phenomenon. Now I cant call him out directly, but Id bet a few bucks on the fact that many of you might have run across this infamous person on message boards, or through other board posters looking for videos of him. This guy has released various training videos on the net where hes training to be a powerlifter/strongman, but apparently he hasnt heard the word "form" or the phrase "too heavy too soon."

Many message board members have witnessed his training atrocities and so have I. Its like watching a train wreck - you know you shouldnt look but you still watch in shock and amazement. One of this guys famous vidoes is when hes going for a personal best in the deadlift. It shows all 150 pounds of him. And hes sporting Chuck Taylors complete with knee high socks, a singlet, a weight belt, and of course his hands are heavily chalked. Plus, hes got his MP3 player strapped to his belt. So, the scene is set, hes loaded up an Olympic bar with 4 plates a side, for a total of 405 pounds. After some last minute adjustments - making sure his MP3 player is blaring whatever band he decided to listen to - the guy goes for the 'attempt', and I use that term loosely. As he begins to lift the weight for a deadlift it almost looks like he goes into an epileptic fit, jerking and convulsing all over the place! While this is happening his back is bowed like a steel bar bent by a world class strongman.

Normally a lift should be one smooth, continous motion, but this was just ridiculous. After 15 seconds the guy finally gets the bar to his knees and spends another 10 seconds rocking and and semi shrugging the weight, all in vain, trying to lock out. In the end he returns the weight to where it belongs in the first place - on the floor!

If you ever have the chance to find this video, or have already seen it, take note as this is a prime example of how not to train. At least it appeared that he wasnt hurt, but if he continues on the training trend depicted in this video, he'll wind up permanantly in traction with a broken back. I know we all strive to pack on maximum strength - and prove it - but this guys actions were just plain stupid. Which is of course why I had to share it with all of you!

    - the piece is written by Robert Kennedy, the editor of Muscle Mag Internation

Maybe we should send the editor a video of blinger squats, as a prime example of how not to squat.

That's not about DW. I'm 99% sure I know the video he's talking about. Let me see if I can find it.

You're talking about that one from the side in a werehouse looking thing right?

EDIT: Damnit, I just assumed the video you posted would be a DW one.

I'm pretty damn sure the article is about DW.

dude, he's talking about DW and THAT video is pretty much just a parody of DW.. read the comments.

plus, you can tell it's a joke, he basically does a full row with the weight at the top.. he's just messing around.
