Boston's a huge college town and since school started i have never seen so many affliction and tapout shirts in my life. also saw a few sinister shirts too. kids are even fucking wearing mma brand board shorts around just as regular shorts. guess mma has hit the mainstream way more than i thought i think i finally figured out why it bugs the shit out of me too. i used to approach every dude wearing any sort of mma apparel at school and strike up a conversation with them. i'd be all "hey man our school has a sick jiu jitsu/mma club and it's free you should come by." and every single time i'd get some bullshit excuse. "oh i can't go to class/work with black eyes." "i hurt my(insert any body part)." "i don't want to get in trouble for hurting people." seriously fucking you would think that if you liked the sport enough to watch it and deck yourself out in all the gear you'd be interested to get some free lessons from a world class bjj player on the one hand its great that almost any time i turn on the tv mma will be on, whether its WEC, IFL, strikeforce, etc. and on the other its hard to ignore all the bullshit uninformed talk i over hear everywhere i go.
