Ok, so I shot a wedding last night as a favor to a friend, which by the way was way harder than I imagined, but I also had more fun than I thought I would... Think I'm going to start doing more.

Now, my problem: I always shoot with a 20D in RAW but last night I borrowed HOG's 40D so that I could use a 40D main and 20D secondary rather than my usual 20D > 350D setup.

Both camera's were shooting RAW all night, cards were all formatted prior to use (except for one, possibly) and now two of the cards wont let me view the images in Microsoft RAW Image Viewer (Failed to load the image!) or CS2 (Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document).

One of the cards works just like it always has, so the two just all of a sudden not working is weird plus it's scary as shit since there 3 full gigs of shots that I CANNOT access.

Anyone have any idea what the hell is going on? :sadwavey:

Microsoft Raw Viewer doesn't work with 40D raws, try faststone or irfanview

edit: didn't read the whole thing. Try updating your Adobe Raw plugin for photoshop problems (link)

Faststone (free, good program layout, easy to browse lots of pics)
Irfanview (free, opens every picture format in the fucking world, simple program)

Yikes, I've never had an issue like that, but maybe try to load the images on a friends computer?

like insomnia said, try updating ACR :dunno:

Is it all photos? or just the ones off the 40D? If you have them on your computer, upload one, and post a link, ill see if I can open it

They're all there, but you just can't view them?

Have you tried a different computer? Download the Lightroom trial and use that.
