So my backs been bothering me recently... Lower back/sciatic nerve issues, and upper right back problems at my right shoulder blade/spine area...

So I got a recommendation from a co-worker and went to this dr. down the street from work...

HOLY CHRIST! They start you off with a 30min. deep tissue massage that was just

Then you see the dr., and he does the normal chiropracter stuff...

Great place. I feel a ton better. I've never had a massage to help with nagging pain, but I think i'm a believer now. My upper back already feels 100% better...

Anyone in Philly interested in checking em out, send me a PM.

I've given up on chiropracters. The massages are nice, but spinal manipulation hasn't helped my problems one bit.

Trigger-point therapy, active release therapy, and lots of stretching/exercises for particular weak points really seems to be helping me a lot more.

I guess going to a chiropractor would be a good way to get a massage and having the insurance company cover it. It covers my acupuncture.

which one? i thought about getting a deep tissue just to relax some. make sure you drink a lot of water to flush that shit out. i go to bucks county wellness center (dr. brady) in chalfont.

i love my chiropractor...then again i had some serious back problems (3 pinched nerves and a herniated disk) that were pretty much cured by it. now i only go if i'm in pain, which may be once a week or once every three or four months

I have this want/donotwant feeling with chiropractors. One on hand I want to go to see how I feel afterwards since I'm sure it'll be spectacular, but on the other hand I don't want to go and get dependent on them.

the massages are ftw but I'd beware of chiropractors, seems like most people continue to see them for months on end not "curing" a single issue that patient has; which is then money down the drain

Ok - I forgot about this thread for a minute...

kackel - Doc is in center city Phila, ~16th and walnut. I'll get you the practice name if you want it... the Dr's name is Rich Dunlap...

The massage girl was hot and mean! I LOVED it.

At one point, she was digging so hard into my f'ed up shoulder blade that I was seeing stars and trying not to cry out that it was too hard....

I was still sore today, not sure if thats normal... we'll see how it goes...

One silly question... Massage therapists in a medical setting like this... Are you supposed to tip?

I hate that shit... the 'am I supposed to' crap...

I have never tipped any massage therapist that I've paid by the hour. If it were an all-inclusive thing at a spa, then maybe, but not even then always.

No I'm serious its my inner thigh that he was working. But it was still all the way down on my leg. Not the best place to work on. And it hurt like a bitch when he was pressing on it. He started working up a sweat just by pressing so hard haha.
