I agree, but I plan on selling my gear to jump to the canon ship. In the long run, canon has the better bodies and lenses. Though Nikon does have it's fair share of nice glass, it doesn't compare to canon's.

I'm waiting to see the pictures from the "d3" before I make judgment (not that I would get the "d3").

But at the end of the day, mark iii >>>>>>> d3

    :uh:

its a FULL FRAME camera that shots almost as fast as a mark 3

think about that for a second, full frame, not cropped sensor :bowdown::bowdown:

and you can find detailed info on the cameras on dpreview

    they are outstanding

Okay cool, but how is that useful? For a start its the amount of data moved that limits burst speeds, not sensor size. Furthermore who would benefit from 9fps, a sports shooter? what sports shooter would want a full frame camera, particularly when it is only 12 MP?

(I say only 12MP because the resolution is not enough to make up for the loss of 1.3, 1.5, 1.6 crop that a sports shooter would normally use to their advantage)

Man the Canon sackriders are in full force today.

The two new Nikon cameras match or better their Canon counterparts on specs and features. If you are comparing the D3 to the 1Ds III you're a moron.

no matter what canon users are always gonna be whiney little fuckheads that always argue the SAME point...OH BUT ISO PERFORMANCE...yeah bullshit. who cares anymore?

i'm sure ISO performance on the FF D3 is gonna be stellar. hell, ISO on even the D40 is insane. go look.

At the price point of the 1DsMkIII, isn't a medium format a better option -- especially for studio work? More megapixels, right?
