So Im going to start open carrying more often, and I was wondering, what would be the best, and safest holster I could purchase?

Right now I have the Safariland 6368 in mind, and I was wondering, is that a little too much? IMO, you can never be too safe, especially when open carrying. Also, I prefer something I can get within a week or so, right now I dont really have anything I can buy locally that I would be 100% comfortable with.

    Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.

    PS.The gun is a P226R

I've talked to a lot of people that really like the Blackhawk Serpa retension holster. It's fairly inexpensive and functions great.

I have that one right now, its not too bad, it just doesnt feel like the best solution. If someone wanted they could just press the button and the gun comes out with ease...

this is why open carry SOUNDS like a good notion for civilians but it really isnt.....id rather carry concealed.
