I have a fobus paddle holster for my full sized Kimber 1911. The problem is that it doesn't fit perfectly in the holster, it has a bit of play when it is in their. Is there a way to fix the problem? I know this is the right holster, but it seems that it could fit a bit tighter.

I don't carry this gun that often, so I don't feel the need to spend a lot of money on a really nice holster for this gun. I just want it to fit right.

I'm sorry you hate yours, but I happen to like the two that I own. I just want to make mine fit a bit better, so if you can't help me make mine fit better, please stop posting in this thread.

I'm not going to get another holster for this gun. I don't need one, I like the one I have now. Don't you get it?

which part doesn't fit? around the slide or the trigger guard? Try heating it up and bending it in a little

the holster is molded plastic, I don't think some water will do anything for it.

oh, kydex. in that case, try sending it back to fobus for a replacement if they have a warranty. my holster has a 1 year i think.

Not kydex, plastic, there is a difference. I may just take it to a local gun shop and see what they reccomend.

Well with Kydex, you can boil it in water and they place your gun in it right after (drying it off of course) and let it sit and it should kinda mold to the gun. I dont know if that works with plastic though. Could give it a try. :dunno:

My fobus does the opposite, it holds my XD way too tight!

The Fobus 1911 holster is designed to be loose cos they also sell it to fit Browning HP's. So sadly, there's not much you can do to make it fit better. i agree, for ~$18 they're great range holsters, but for carry, i'd go with Sidearmor or Bladetech and have something made specifically for your model.
