College grad, Business Admin, can't land job in continental US... well maybe not that bad. But target areas suck. So thinking about military, between Army and Air Force. Clean record, smoked weed for a month when I was 19. 27 now in Germany looking for jobs. If I join, I want to go as an officer. Suggestions? Read the FAQ.

    HALP?

yea if you try to go AF you will wait a long long time before you even go, at least 12 months from starting with the recrutier to leaving for Officer Training School.

I'd suggest Marine Corps, but I don't think you have what it takes. You're also 27, pretty close to the max age for the Corps to be commissioned.

If you are going into the Army with a Business Administration Degree there is the Enlisted MOSs 42A and 42F, both of which are Administrative Specialist. I just don't know what the Officer equivalent is. Basically, if you go into the Officer equivalent, you would be managing a company (Army AG corps language for a unit the size of an infantry platoon) of human resources specialists. If you like doing that sort of thing. It's very similar to the civilian side. They are making small changes though. Now 42As are required to become Postal Qualified which means they not only do admin functions but also run mail convoys. But I wouldn't know how that would effect the officer side of things.
