    People buy Sonys?

Man, best buy must move a ton of those. I've been in the camera selling business full time for almost three years now, and I've seen a total of 2 Sony DSLR's sell. Is it a Best Buy thing or an American thing?

When all the sudden they put out cameras that are somewhat competitive, i can see why their sales spike.

Well, that proves it: Canons are noisy above ISO 12,800.

Cord Camera here in Central Ohio pushes those sony DSLRs very hard. When I go out to the favorite amature photog places around the state I see more sonys than anything else. Canon and Nikon are pretty much evenly used here with probably slightly more Nikons due to the D40.

realistically, since it's based on sales.. in 2006, Canon was pretty much the only guy in town for budget DSLRs, but now everyone's on board, so they aren't getting as large of a percentage as they did 2 years prior simply because of the increase in competition. it doesn't really mean anything except Girth has too much free time

This and a greater distribution of DSLR's vs. 2006 will contribute to Canon's decline and Sony's increase. I think in 2006, Sony only had a couple DSLR's whereas they have several. Same with Nikon.

Canon already had a large number of DSLR's
