25+ years old is exempt from all the import red tape.
basically any decent datsun
but lets just be serious
more that you can afford pal, DATSUN!!
do they even have 25+ y/o cars running around in japan? don't they send em to the crusher after 10 or so?
pretty much. after ten years, the road tax on them is exhorbitant, and JCI inspections are nearly impossible to pass.
only a few classics are still around, and usually in a garage unregistered, and the owner will only register it to drive for events, shows, etc then immediately deregister it and get a per diem refund on the JCI and road tax.
any car in japan that was offered as the same make, model, and year are also exempt from importation laws, even if the motor combinations are different from what was offered in the states, as long as it passes your local smog requirements, if any.
check with www.nhtsa.gov for more info, i used to have a copy of the handbook that stated this specifically, but have since tossed it due to its age.
old ass GTR
datsun nickel and dime
What 13 years old car should I import without having to do anything to it to make it street legal, maybe something 1991 ish..
don't forget to overnight some parts for it
what did the 240Z's come with over there? anything different than US? or maybe a Datsun 510, those are cool
isn't it 15 years in canada?
just wanted to post this
I have always wonderd how much better the side mirrors are supose to be way out there on the finders like that.
old Datsun > new Nissan
More than anyone on OT can afford.
This car has more style than any current nissan
You need to import yourself a new job before you think about buying cars from overseas, grocery bagger.
It has more style than any Ford ever built.
