TAT Hmm, any ideas? installation problem.

    Just put these in:

    how do i get the little ball inbetween? not sure what gauge it is, either 12 or 10. the ones i took out i can do no problem but these are hard.

    there should be two little dimples in the ball, out one on the end of the ring and kinda slide the other side in,,, sometimes its a pain in the ass... good luck

    try that for a few hours, if you still cant get it, ill tell you another way :p

    err, wait that doesn't help. I know how to do it, but the ring is significantly stronger/stiffer than the last one.

    k, my sister just informed me they are not 10 or 12 guage. it's either 8 or 6. so i'm guessing a trip to the piercer is in order.

    If you don't have ring opening pliers then the piercer is your best option.

    woot! got em in. Took just enough pressure from the needle nose pliers to open them up a little.

    yea. larger gauges, no matter how strong you think you are, you aint gonna move em with your fingers :hs:

    invest in a $10 set of snap ring pliers

    yeah pliers, they were to tight to put the ball in, so i opened em up just enough. They're in pretty tight though. getting them out is easy, stick needle nose pliers into the ring and pull the pliers open till the ball falls out.

    I don't see the point of getting 'special pliers' now. plus the other rings i took out were in there for like 2yrs, so i doubt these will come out any time soon.
