The finish seems to hold up okay, put that in the pro column.

Now in the con column, we have they are significantly heavier and they are more prone to going tits up from simple dents that a polymer mag or even in some cases a GI aluminum mag would survive.

Are they worth it? If I'm paying out of pocket, I wouldn't get them even if they were priced the same as a pmag, nevermind 3x or more.

There is a company that makes knockoffs that I've heard are very good. They are like 1/6th the price too.

But it says Hk on it so it must be the best and well worth the price, amirite?

Or, to put it another way, I have about 10k rounds through the same half dozen or so OK industries and C-products mags with standard springs and basic green followers with zero malfunctions that I can recall due to mag issues. I have another 30 or so mags just like them NIB. I'm good on AR mags.

the NSN for HK mags was pulled due to unexplained field failures. I'd go with PMAGs.
