TGS shipped on Thursday, I received it today (Saturday).

Lots of holster wear but I kinda like it. Internal looks great. Paid $530 + $18 shipping.

edit: This is the second best trigger I have ever pulled. 1st place goes to my CZ 452 Lux with Eric Brook's trigger kit. The P7 feels like a light two stage trigger.

After handling it some more, this gun is fucking awesome. Even though it's kind of heavy the weight disapears when pointed at something because it's so well balanced.

How do you like the squeeze to cock lever thing?

And what's up with the welding inside the slide?

Just got back from the range.

I put around 35 rounds through it and there is recoil but little muzzle flip. It's shooting left for me.

You should get it refinished in orange and blue.

No fucking way those are tool marks. Those are tig welds.

I will take a perma ban over this.

    Yep, they are.
The "bolt" (for lack of a better word) is welded into the slide.
Look at the very top of the pic (back of the slide) and you can see the seam between the bolt and slide

Put 100 rounds through it this morning and I can't seem shoot this gun for some reason. I'm following through with the trigger with sights on target and they seem to be all over the place, especially at 5 yards. Ill have someone else shoot it next week to see if the sights are off (shots to the left).

    5 yards

13 yards. The drawn in circle is about 2" in diameter.

Fucking shit. It's big. I thought it'd be on the order of the Walther PPS.

Are you squeezing the shit out of the grip? I noticed that when I first got mine I was doing that and didn't realize it. When I realized I can relax into a normal firing grip the gun really starting making me want to :wackit:. Keeps them all in a nice group at 7yds without a thought.

Sort of. That's how I shoot my other guns. I tried cleaning the piston with oil and a patch but can't get it anywhere near as clean when I first got it. The tip is all black and doesnt want to come off.

If I had more money than god, I'd have Bruce Gray build me an open steel gun on a P7. Always thought that would be cooooooool.

    Nice piece.

IIRC it takes like 10lbs of pressure to compress the grip, but only 2 to KEEP it compressed. you should be able to relax your grip once its squeezed.
