    with a 45k pricetag i predict this. give it 1-2 years.

    How will you know prices are crashing? When you see GT500s lined up at a dealer like this...

    Not any time soon... 15k market adjustments are the new thing...

    And those initial 15k markups will cover a LOT of $500 under invoices...

    They're only producing 9,000 GT500s, it won't be hard to move them at all.

    only ~11k Contour SVT's in the world, and the ones around here sold for $9k OVER list... :uh:

    All you gotta do is sit inside a Ford Mustang and then go to a Chrysler Dealership and sit in A Charger, or a Pontiac Dealership to sit inside of a GTO.

    Plus with mustangs, everyone is got one, or two. You see those evrywhere. Not speaking on the GT500, but just mustang GT.

    I used to be a designer for Ford so I know their engineering and styling. It sucks.

    For example, Daimler Chrysler said their overall quality will be up to Mercedes Bens standards by 2009.

    Were you a platform engineer or a part engineer for DCX? I currently work for Roush Ind. and DCX is our largest customer. The LX V* platform is not as problematic as the others. Send me a pm sice I wanna talk to you and see if you know some of hte same people I deal with.

    If you used to be a designer and you feel their engineering and styling sucks, who's to blame?

    I dont work on Ford projects anymore. I havent in about 4 years. The last program I did was the Brazillian SUV.

    Right now I work for a Japanese company, Calsonic, they do Instrument Panels and Consoles for Nissan.

    Before that I worked for Collins & Aikmann, and there I did work for various car companies such as Chrysler, Ford and Nissan.

    And , yeah, Ive played poker with some Roush guys before. I could not name any of them though.

    Im not that type of designer. By Designer, I mean creating 3D solid math models. We get styling data, which is the exterior or interior "class A" surfaces, and we design parts to that surface. So basically like getting the outer shell of an Instrument panel, and then making it work, designing parts, fit and finish, packaging etc.

    And even if I was a graphic designer, it does not matter, graphic designers do not make the calls, the execs do.

    So you take the concept designs and make them feasible?
