when doing this on a treadmill, do you guys compensate the time loss when you go from sprint to warmup level? for example, if you're sprinting at 9ish for 1 min, then go to 3.5 for 1 min, the time in between when the treadmill is lowering the speed, what do you do to make up for it?

i dunno if that sentence even makes sense. :ugh:

I was just wondering if anyone has created a preset HIIT program on a treadmill. I bet Precor could come up with a program with pretty smooth, quick transitions ...

I was wondering if it works on these. How do you do it? Do you change any of the resistance settings or do you just change speeds each min?

Well, I set incline to 6, which is where the machine says it works all muscles. I set the resistance at 11 or 12 usually, but basically to the point where I am just dying after 30 seconds. I do 15 minutes, 30 second increments. The top 30 seconds I keep my rotations per minute at about 140 or 150, bottom 30 seconds my RPM is never less than 190. It's killer, in january I was at 255, today I'm at 217.5 and still falling. HIIT in the morning, weights after, then at night I do spin. It takes a lot of time out of my days, but it's working.

EDIT: And right now I'm snacking on carrots and celery... not my first choice in food but better than chips.
