so ive been doing hiit almost everyday for the past month or so, and initially i noticed results pretty quickly but for the past week it seems that im not getting any results

Could it be the way i do hiit? I generally just run flat out for 30 seconds and just walk around until i feel up for another sprint (the rest intervals usually start at 30 seconds and become longer, sometimes up to 2mins or so -- cause im weaksauce). I usually do 6 cycles. Is it really important to keep the rest cycles at 30 seconds? If I try to keep the 30 second rest interval i think ill only be able to do 3/4 cycles before i collapse or something :(

ive read that im supposed to keep a certain heart rate while doing the rest intervals -and im generally just walking around as opposed to light jogging. could this be making that much of a difference?

also some sites suggest that starting out at 75% and increasing the intensity every cycle -- while i just start at 100% and try to keep it at 100%

    any help? :hsd:

If you were doing REAL HIIT every day, going from every day to 3x a week probably will break your plateau

im hearing that HIIT would make you feel like you needed a day or 2 to recover, which i dont

so I think ill add a couple cycles as well

HIIT is one of the dumbest bandwagons to hit the internet.

It has its uses but its some of the most abused and misinterpreted shit I've ever seen.

What are you using HIIT for to increase how efficient your body is at using the oxygen or to lose weight ?

You shouldnt be doing HIIT every day and if your doing it just to lose weight your not doing it for the right reason.

I just flat out sprint as fast as i can for 30 secs and then just walk around till I feel i can do another sprint (ranges from 30-2/3mins)

:ugh: Thats not HIIT.... HIIT is 30 seconds FULL SPRINT followed by 30 seconds of active recovery (light jogging) and going into another full sprint when that time is up. It is NOT doing 30 seconds of full sprint and then waiting until you are ready for another sprint....
