HIIT is kicking my ass

    i never realized how out of shape i was until i tried this. i think the last time i sprinted was when i played soccer in highschool. the cycles have gotten a little easier but it is still hard. anyone completed the 8 week routine? what were the results? i am talking about the routine suggested in the sticky at the top that has you alternating jogging and sprinting for 30 seconds.

    Prehaps try easing into it

    I'm just starting it now, so i'm doing 3 minutes of normal riding, then 3 minutes of increased levels, and so on

    Eventually, I'll be able to do the normal HIIT routine without it kicking my ass too bad

    its supposed to be hard

    if its not hard, you need to increase the intensity

    This is true, but if it's too hard and you can't finish the workout, you may need to build up to a certain intensity

    thats what they do, if they don't kick your ass you're not doing them right

    alright well they are definitely doing that so I am happpy. the first time i "sprinted" i realized how slow i am

    . I use to think I was doing HIIT until I asked a trainer to help me with it, after 10mins my legs were completely dead :wtc: :wtc:
