When I do cardio, I usually go for about 15-20 minutes(2 to 2.5 miles) doing HIIT on the elliptical. I set it on manual(level 5) and sprint roughly 7-8 times. Usually, I end up burning about 175-215 calories. I've heard that HIIT burns calories AFTER you finish your cardio. My question is approximately how many more calories am I burning after I do my HIIT?

    nobody can answer that question.
Your size, metabolism, diet and intensity will dictate how many cals you will burn. There is NO way of determining this through a thread.
Once you get into training more, the numbers dont matter. The mirror or contest stage will always tell the truth.
