i think hiit is overrated. Morning Steady state cardio did the job for me.

I lost 80 pounds by doing HIIT 3x per week and HIIT has resulted in me being in incredible athletic condition - HIIT may be a lot of things, but overrated isn't one of them.

Yeah, I'm just so out of shape. I don't do much all out sprinting in the last few years. Before that, it wouldn't have been a problem.

pick a ratio (some do 50/50, others like 75/25)
    pick an exercise
    set resistance (if applicable)
do 1 minute sets according to ratio (30s sprint, 30s walk or 45s at 50% and 15s at 100% on the bike, etc)
    repeat x amount of times

next workout, try to do x or x+1

keep adding a minute to your exercises.

something tells me you're gonna fuck this up :hs:

out of shape people have no business starting hiit with sprints, imho. stick with the bike or eliptical for a few weeks to at least prepare your cardiovascular system.

you'll still feel like dying when you do the sprints when you do get in better shape :hsd:

If you're out of shape, then you need to build a decent cardio base before beginning HIIT... but regardless you can still do HIIT, just a lot shorter intervals with a lot longer rest.

Works for some, but I can't stand running at any steady pace for 20+ minutes. I like to get out, go all out on HIIT. It's 100% or nothing. Steady cardio has its benefits, and I do it, but I prefer going all out with HIIT.

I kinda think HIIT Should be used for the very early stages of fatloss to lose alot more early in terms of fat. Then use slow steady state to drop those last little increments. I've seen a big diffrence when doing that.

Same basic routine, but just pushing harder/longer each time.
