I've been doing HIIT for a few weeks and like it..

However, it really fucks the rest of my day up. I feel at least 25% more tired than normal [obviously].. but - what can i do to counter this? I don't want to eat more as I am trying to cut down, but its effecting my work as I am just more lazy etc..

    Thanks for any help

edit: I've been doing HIIT for 25 minutes [well 20 min really because i do a 5 minute warmup jog], AFTER medium-heavy intensity lifting. I know a lot of people say to do HIIT on different days, and maybe this is why im so burnt out?

Depends on how often you do it. I usually only do it 3-4x a week. It also takes a while for you body to adjust to it.

i feel awesome and more energetic throughout the day after morning cardio. try splitting up your runs and lifts to see if that helps. you might just be putting too much stress on your body at this point.

Interesting. It may very well be just too much stress for me as i just got back in the Gym [after 6 months off] in early August

Try not doing it after lifting. Seriously. If you still feel like crap, cut it out for a week and then re-introduce it slowly....

maybe you just need to get used to it, usually right after HIIT or something that strenuous I'm pretty gassed, a half an hour or so after I usually feel pretty energized.
