I was wondering what you though about my temp on my cpu. The idle temp is 45C, 52C load. Load is running prime95 for about an hour. Load seems fine to me but the idle seems kind of high.

    Athlon 64 3500+ Newcastle @ 2.32GHz

my temps when not OCed are 35C idle and like 45C load.

That still sounds ok to me. What is the temp of the room it is in?

Could be the airflow within the case. It could also be the lack of or the type of theremal compound between the cpu and the heatsink, or even the way it was applied

that heatsink could be the problem. I would trade it out for a zalman or thermalright.
