A&P high speed CF Cards

    im probably getting a Canon A70 for xmas ( :x: ) and for added memory do i need one of these high speed cards like a sandisk ultra 2 or will any cards work..
    i know any card will work but will i get better proformance from one of these cards with this camera

    No you won't...

    They're more designed for high buffered prosumer and above cameras like DSLRs that need to clear buffer space ASAP on the fly.

    With the A70's 2.2 fps and a 12 image buffer, a normal compact flash card will be fine for you...

    For comparison's sake, the Canon 10D, shoots at 3fps and has a 9 image buffer, so as you can imagine, it'll fill it's buffer much faster and will need a faster CF card to keep the buffer free for continuous shooting.

    plus the 10d shoots in RAW which generates larger files.
