I'm looking for good, healthy, high-protein low-fat meals that can be made to last a week, spending approx. $25 per week. That or just suggest a good grocery plan that would fit those parameters.

Someone post a link to that movie of that huge Asian dude going grocery shopping and dropping 3 bills on chicken and meat.

As close as possible to it. Or at least just good cost-effective groceries for healthy, high-protein eating.

Other than eating eggs, legumes and PB, I dunno how you could expect to do it.

does not compute... a more realistic goal is eating on $10 per day

Im at about $10-$20 a day depending on diet. You cant possibly do a high protein diet on 25 a week.

I used to eat on 20 a week, and it was very healthy, but not high protein. I almost started a website on it. Anyone who can't eat on 30 dollars a week or less isn't trying. It's not that hard.

I'll think about a high protein diet and what you can do. How high is high for you (ie - how many g protein a day)?

you can do what i did in college cook a ham every other week

just put 1 ham, 1 2liter of dr pepper in a big cooker and then powder it with the stuff that comes with the ham.

let it cook for 3 hours or so. then you have food for a week or 2

Naw bro. I think it was one of those fit shows with Stan McQuay at Bodybuilding.com. It was linked here way back when I first started lurking this forum.

How much less? You say $30 or less a week but $2-3 per meal = $42-$63 per week. Groceries have increased in price considerably in the last 2 years.

At Costco (rough numbers from memory so may be a little off):
5 dozen eggs ~ $8 (used to be $5 only 2 years ago).
6lbs of frozen boneless skinless chicken breasts ~ $14
6lbs of frozen boneless skinless chicken thighs ~ $10
2 Gallons of 2% or skim milk ~$5.50

$37.50 to barely cover the protein needs for 7 to 10 days (depending on the person) and still have to cover my veggies, fruits, grains etc...
