I'm gonna call them tomorrow and see what they say about me putting 600rms to the towers since they say 600W power handling :dunno:
Maybe ask them about the horn DRIVERS since horns are a LOADING methodology...maybe ask how those drivers compare to my Klipschs :run:
edit: I'll inquire about the high power magnets and so-called digital crossovers as well

Wait a minute..their mobile sub cabinet says 90dB/W, max SPL of 115dB. Baring any cabin gain or anything else in the mix, that's attainable on ~256W...which means what, anything in their recommended amp power range is too much? Excellent!

I figured the Audio forum needed a good laugh. But seriously, I work with a guy who bought these and I looked them up and just started to laugh.

I asked around and everyone starts saying "white van special"

It's kinda a funny thing that people still get ripped off like this.

May well be but I call BS on 100dB+ 20Hz unloaded from that thing :squint: There isn't enough displacement. That miracle DSP doesn't change that fact. :hsugh:

well i really dont know that for a fact i dont have any way of measuring. Axiom is a pretty respected company and i dont see a reason for them to lie about their specs. All i know is it produces sound that i can only feel, not hear :hs:

    actually it is not....sorry bra'.

Ian Colloquin is one of the biggest pieces of shit in the industry! :greddy2:....he build a nice anechoic chamber and has the Canadian NRA chamber at his disposal, so he markets that shit as "great scientifically".

the facts are, although I'd take Axiom over your Polk/Infinity type of speakers anyday, it is nowhere near the quality of the Swan/Rocket or similar Internet direct companies. The Axiom M80/M60 lineup is extremely bright, to the point of getting fatigued after a couple of songs! :ugh:

now onto subs....oh yes, their precious little EP500 and EP600 subs, which had a big fiasco two years ago in Avsforum, where a couple of members (in bed with Ian) made a hoopla about the Ep500 performing better than SVS Ultra subs! :hahano:

here are teh results of the EP600 tests:

    in particular, notice the FR:

    and distortion levels:

    fucking absolutely HORRID!:rofl::rofl::rofl:

in comparison, here is the SVS PB13 ultra, which is much cheaper:

I call BS on you on this one partna' :nono:

you can tell me that Axiom makes a great sound, because that is a subjective opinion so cool....but that it produces good bass below 20hz, or that you "feel" pressure and not hear it, is complete BS.

the DSP limiter is somewhere around 18 hz, thus the sharp 12dB rolloff at that point:

there is absolutely no way possible on this earth that you are feeling or hearing anything below 18hz on this thing.....and this is on the much larger (and supposedly much "deeper") EP600, as compared to the EP500. :nono:
