What do you all think?
Receivers, Services, Free HD Broadcast Stations?
Never heard a HD station....knowingly.....
It's called satellite radio. It's already available.
Not quite. Perhaps he should clarifiy which one he's talking about.
If its HD radio, its high definition FM broadcasting (digital) which consists of the normal FM signal but piggybacked to a digital carrier that contains station ID, song info, etc (not the same as RDS). HD Radio is as free as your local FM stations. There aren't too many HD stations around last I heard. If its satellite, its XM or Sirius and requires a subscription. There is a difference.
Some, if not most, of the Kenwoods have HD capability. Not sure about Pioneer and the others. Check out http://www.ibiquity.com/ for more info on HD radio.
why did rds go down the tube i miss that on my old kenwood
I read somwhere that one of the major broadcasting companies is going to try to bring it back...
it still works around here on a few startions but the radio manufactures quit putting in on decks
